Intro to Sewing I April 30-May 28, 2024 Tuesdays 6p-8p

Description

Students will learn the basics of working with a sewing machine.  Basics include straight and zig zag stitching, using a serger, applying elastic, pockets and making a finished simple garment. Students will learn to read and use a commercial pattern, how to cut out fabric, and have a basic understanding of textiles. 

Bring your own machine if you’d like, or use our professional machines.

Tuition

$150 + $25 supply fee

Students are asked to provide 3 yards of pre-washed fabric or flannel to complete a pair of pajama pants. Supply fee will cover costs of notions needed to complete garment.
