Formed in December of 2011, The Fashion Arts Collective nurtures area students and aspiring designer talent by supporting and developing the Midwest fashion community.
We provide students and regional fashion designers with mentoring, training, resources, and industry network opportunities to fulfill their creative potential in the fashion industry.
the four pillars of success
We host paid and free creative workshops for our community, as well as offer outreach and collaboration with local schools and non-profits.
Industry experts lead technical workshops, as well as sewing and textile skills classes to area students and designers from concept to commerce in our mentoring program.
We help develop a free web presence for designers, start no cost or low cost
e-commerce, and provide higher quality fabric.
We partner designers with other incubation programs, host workshops on how to run a small business, and provide small-run manufacturing.
